About the Role
Spin Master is a pioneering global children's entertainment powerhouse, delivering exceptional play experiences through its three core divisions:
- Toys
- Entertainment
- Digital Games
With a distribution footprint spanning over 100 countries, Spin Master is renown for globally beloved brands such as PAW Patrol®, Bakugan®, Kinetic Sand®, Air Hogs®, Hatchimals®, Rubik’s Cube®, and GUND®, and as the global toy licensee for other critically acclaimed properties.
This pivotal leadership role reports to the VP, IT Business Relationship Management, with dotted-line reporting to the VP, Integrated Technology Services. As the Senior Director, Information Technology (EMEA Headquarters), you will serve as the senior-most IT leader responsible for local operations and service delivery, bridging regional agility with global strategy to drive operational excellence.
By fostering strong business relationships, aligning tech initiatives to support business growth, and setting the standard for IT security and service quality, you will ultimately help our organisation realise its full potential—making life more fun for millions of children around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and Operational Leadership
- Directly oversee regional IT operations, including service delivery and end-user support.
- Hold accountability for regional IT Service Level Agreements (SLAs), monitoring performance metrics, and driving operational standards.
- Partner with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies and global IT standards while accommodating regional needs.
- Serve as the primary IT advisor for regional business stakeholders, translating their priorities into strategic IT solutions.
- Collaborate with enterprise IT teams (Toronto-based) to integrate regional priorities into the broader global IT roadmap.
- Provide clear, informed communication of enterprise IT strategy and initiatives to regional leaders and local IT teams to ensure alignment.

Regional Process Improvements
- Expedite local incident resolution while adhering to governance policies.
- Drive regional adoption of corporate tools (such as ServiceNow, Jira) through tailored implementation plans ensuring local alignment and efficiency.
- Balance regional flexibility with consistent global policy execution supported by close collaboration with centralised IT stakeholders.
Leadership and Workforce Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a regional IT team (comprising IT Managers, System Engineers, and Service Delivery Analysts) to foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability.
- Set and manage team objectives in partnership with senior IT leadership, and deliver regular performance reviews in line with departmental and corporate objectives.
- Develop strategic workforce plans, including succession planning and talent development, to build a resilled, highly engaged regional IT team.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- 10+ years of IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing technical teams and/or other managers.
- Strong background in IT operations management, including infrastructure, service delivery, and support systems.
- Proven ability to build and manage diverse IT teams, including hiring, performance management, and team growth.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on negotiating outcomes and serving as a credible business advisor.
- Experience with fiscal planning and budget management to support strategic decision-making.
- Ability to balance enterprise objectives with regional needs to ensure stability and operational excellence.
