About the Role
JoVE is seeking a strategic, hands-on, proactive, and results-driven Senior Director of International Sales to lead our sales organizations across EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific).
Reporting to the VP of Sales, this leader will:
- Partner closely with regional sales managers
- Drive revenue growth through disciplined pipeline management, sales coaching, performance management, and operational excellence
The ideal candidate has:
- Proven expertise in leading multi-country sales organizations
- Strong track record of developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture of accountability, execution, and continuous improvement

- Revenue Leadership: Take full ownership of revenue performance across EMEA and APAC, consistently hitting quarterly and annual sales targets
- Pipeline Management: Conduct weekly pipeline inspections and deal reviews to ensure:
- Pipeline quality and integrity
- Progression of deals
- Forecast accuracy
- Healthy pipeline coverage
- KPI & Performance Monitoring: Monitor key metrics, including:
- Pipeline generation
- Meeting activity
- Conversion rates
- Forecast accuracy
- Revenue attainment
- Implement data-driven actions to improve performance
- Sales Methodology Execution: Drive consistent adoption of:
- JoVE’s sales processes
- CRM best practices
- Operational excellence across regions
- Leadership & Coaching: Foster high performance through:
- Effective coaching
- Performance management
- Continuous feedback and accountability
- Growth & Expansion: Identify new opportunities by analyzing:
- Market trends

Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree (any field)
- 10+ years of hands-on experience leading sales teams in:
- EdTech, SaaS, or STEM publishing industries
- 8+ years managing sales leaders while achieving revenue growth targets
- Strong expertise in:
- Pipeline management
- Forecasting
- Sales performance management
- Using data for continuous improvement and business objectives
- Proven ability to:
- Build, implement, and scale sales structures, processes, and strategies
- Drive pipeline growth and revenue performance
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, and other CRM/sales productivity platforms
- Highly results-oriented with the ability to thrive in:
- Fast-paced environments
- High-growth companies
