The Role
We’re hiring a Senior Director of Product, Consumer Experience to lead the evolution of Numan’s end-to-end, patient-facing journeys across web and mobile.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for a product operator who can translate company strategy into clear priorities, partner deeply with Growth, Engineering, Clinical, Data, and Design, and raise the bar on product quality and outcomes through delivery.
Reporting to the CPTO, you’ll be accountable for improving the consumer journey’s impact on conversion, activation, retention, and long-term value, while maintaining a patient-first experience aligned to our mission.

You’ll be:
- Owning the overall consumer journey (web + mobile): working with product leaders to identify the highest-leverage problems, align priorities, and drive delivery.
- Driving measurable improvements: working with product teams to boost conversion, activation, and retention through product-led initiatives (collaborating with functional leaders across the business).
- Setting and upholding the product quality bar: ensuring decision-making clarity, discovery standards, craft, and an exceptional patient experience.
- Leading and coaching PMs: developing capability in discovery, prioritisation, experimentation, and execution.
- Partnering with leadership: collaborating closely with Design and Engineering leadership to ensure solutions are user-centred, technically sound, and delivered well.
- Balancing outcomes: weighing user needs, clinical integrity, and commercial outcomes in day-to-day product decisions.
- Aligning stakeholders: bringing Commercial, Clinical, Ops, and Data teams together around priorities, trade-offs, and success metrics.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We’re looking for someone who has:
- Significant experience leading consumer-facing product teams in B2C or DTC environments.
- Demonstrated experience as a hands-on product operator, not purely a strategist.
- A deep understanding of growth mechanics, including conversion, activation, retention, and LTV, and how product decisions drive these metrics.
- Experience managing and developing Product Managers, particularly in scaling or evolving organisations.
- The ability to raise standards and introduce pragmatic improvements.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance user value and business outcomes.
- Experience operating in ambiguity and bringing clarity through goals, decisions, and prioritisation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to align senior stakeholders without relying on hierarchy.
It’s a bonus if you have:
- Experience scaling consumer health or wellness products.
- An understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g. CQC, MHRA, GDPR) and how to build compliant products without compromising user experience.
- Previous experience in a scaling, mission-driven startup or scale-up.
