Position Summary
Why join our team?
The TV Plus team is responsible for operating the Samsung TV Plus service across 19 countries in Europe and the Middle East. The service is available on Samsung devices with a global footprint of over 600 million devices (including Smart TVs, mobiles, and smart monitors). The current product and content roadmap is ambitious and exciting. Working alongside other Samsung teams around the world, we are constantly expanding the scope of our services and developing new content propositions.
We are a rapidly growing team in Samsung’s global corporate world, working to build a unique organisation with a steadfast focus to deliver real results to customers.
Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term strategic plans aligned with market trends, identifying new business opportunities and technology advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments including product development, engineering, marketing, business development, customer support, and finance, ensuring smooth functioning and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs). Work alongside the regional sales teams to ensure achievement of sales targets and objectives.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage high-performing teams by recruiting, developing, and motivating talent across all levels of the organization.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, supervise financial performance, and draw well-founded conclusions to optimise profitability and prioritisation.
- Product Development: Collaborate with product teams to define product roadmap, prioritise features, and ensure timely delivery of innovative products that meet customer needs.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential customer segments, analyse competitor landscape, and inform strategic marketing initiatives.
- Customer Focus: Prioritise customer satisfaction by driving customer acquisition, retention, and support strategies.
- Technology Leadership: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on the company and guiding technology investments.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including partners.
Your key people management responsibilities
- Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction.
- Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities.
- Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety.
- Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates.
- Manage the onboarding, offboarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members.
- Manage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation, and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner.
- To be accountable for ensuring your team are compliant with company processes and procedures; such as compliance, meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines, and understanding the company values.

What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- 15+ years of relevant experience in senior international positions across digital media and technical development roles.
- 10+ years of experience managing and expanding global OTT services.
- Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role within a technology company.
- Capability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans, adapting to changing market dynamics.
- Ability to lead and grow diverse teams (ops, marketing, business development, tech) in a multinational corporate environment.
- Deep understanding of business operations, including financial management, marketing, business development, sales, and product development.
- Deep knowledge of the consumer video market and dynamics to increase engagement and monetisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.
- Effective planning and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage several initiatives at once, prioritising tasks effectively and reacting to fast-changing events.
- The ability to maintain standards of accuracy and attention to detail when working to tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with relevant technology trends and concepts within the industry.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on insights.
- Flexibility to travel overseas (Europe, Americas, Asia) to engage with other members of the senior leadership team.
- Knowledge of additional European languages.
