Senior Director - Process Transformation
6-Month Contract
Hybrid (1 day per week on-site)
On behalf of a global FTSE organisation I am looking for an experienced Senior Director (Process Transformation) to lead a major enterprise-wide transformation programme during an exciting period of organisational change.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of business transformation, operational excellence, process innovation and organisational change.
Rather than leading technology delivery, you'll define what should be transformed, why it matters, and ensure transformation delivers measurable business value.
You'll shape the transformation portfolio, influence executive stakeholders, drive adoption across the organisation and help establish a lasting transformation capability. You'll work alongside a dedicated Digital Process Transformation function, which owns the technical delivery and execution, allowing you to focus on strategy, prioritisation, governance and business outcomes.
The Role:
My client is evolving its Transformation Office from a project-led model into a permanent enterprise capability that will continually identify, prioritise and deliver business improvement opportunities through process excellence, intelligent automation and AI.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
As Senior Director, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing this operating model, helping transition transformation from individual projects into an enduring business capability that continues to deliver value long after implementation.
Role Responsibilities:
- Define and shape the enterprise Process Transformation strategy.
- Build and prioritise a portfolio of high-value transformation initiatives.
- Identify and validate business improvement opportunities through process analysis, operational insight and stakeholder engagement.
- Drive enterprise-wide change management, adoption and value realisation.
- Partner with senior business leaders to align transformation priorities with strategic objectives.
- Build compelling business cases and investment recommendations.
- Provide governance and strategic oversight across transformation initiatives while holding delivery teams accountable for outcomes.
- Champion continuous improvement, Lean thinking and process simplification before automation.

Skills/Experience required:
- Significant experience leading enterprise Process or Business Transformation programmes.
- Strong Global Business Services, Shared Services or large matrix organisation experience.
- A proven track record transforming end-to-end business processes - not just implementing technology.
- Excellent executive stakeholder management, influencing senior leaders across complex organisations.
- Experience driving large-scale organisational change, adoption and behavioural transformation.
- Strong commercial thinking with the ability to prioritise investment based on business value.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent process excellence expertise).
- Knowledge of AI, intelligent automation, process mining and digital technologies as business enablers - not necessarily as a hands-on technical specialist.
- Experience working within complex, highly regulated, global organisations would be advantageous.
If you've led complex process transformation, enjoy solving enterprise-wide business challenges and know how to bring people with you on the journey, I'd love to hear from you.
