Senior Director, Real World Evidence – European Team
About the Role
We are expanding our Real World Evidence team and exciting to welcome an outstanding Senior Director to unite, lead, and grow our European operations.
As the Senior Director, you will take ownership of research teams, deliver high-calibre projects, manage our business strategy, and fortify Precision AQ’s thought leadership within the health outcomes and research sector. Your vision will shape not only client projects but also client engagement, proposal strategies, team development, and business expansion—both by delivering exceptional solutions and cultivating top-tier relationships.
Responsibilities
Strategic & Business Leadership
- Oversee the design and execution of a diverse portfolio of research studies, utilising secondary and proprietary data sources.
- Drive the growth of Precision AQ’s European business by proactively acquiring new accounts, directing proposals, and facilitating repeat business.
- Align with colleagues and senior leaders to deliver staffing recommendations, capacity planning, and resource allocation based on pipeline projections and business performance models.
Project & Team Management
- Lead and deputise for core research teams, ensuring accurate, statistically robust deliverables that meet rigorous regulatory and commercial requirements (e.g., HTA/Evidence Generation).
- Industry foresight and risk mitigation: Implement dashboards, processes, and guidance to anticipate emerging trends, prioritise critical projects, and develop and execute strategic responses to mitigate risks or exploit opportunities.
- Quality assurance and decision-making: Assume a final decision-making authority to resolve client/project issues and deliver ethical and strategic recommendations demonstrated via peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and stakeholder communications.
Team Development & Mentorship
- Culture and performance: Set operational and cultural benchmarks, oversee new hires including onboarding, provide hands-on career coaching, and foster their professional self-determination.
- Expertise cultivation: Empower researchers at all levels, fostering technical mentorship to ensure a pipeline of self-motivated talent.
- Knowledge transfer: Actively shape precision AQ’s scientific discourse through conference participation, external, advisory work, industry collaborations, and thought leadership initiatives.

Client & Business Engagement
- Partnership culture: Act as a client-facing subject matter expert, offering proactive HEOR solutions validated by real-world evidence, ensuring client expectations are aligned with business impact.
- Resolve challenges with diplomacy while accounting for client financial, operational, and commercial imperatives, communicating progress with tact and professionalism.
Qualifications
Minimum Required
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Health Services Research or quantitative disciplines such as health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, public policy, or public health.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 4–5 years in a consulting context—specifically meaningful expertise in:
- Design, conducting, and managing observational, epidemiological, and HEOR studies in a research- or consulting-centred environment.
- Clinical research, scientific data analysis, and statistical modelling, and applying methods applicable to pharmaceutical, medical technology, or healthcare policy markets.
- Adept with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint) — with awareness of additional commercial or project management tools favoured by market leaders.
- Ability to travel internationally as required, including overnight stays.
Specialist Core Competencies
- Deep expertise in European health technology assessment (HTA), value assessment, and regulation.
- Strong HeOR/DX/OS evidence policies and research frameworks at EU/national, mastering both influences on payers, regulators, and patient advocacy across the EU market.
- Well-developed proposal writing skills to produce commercial proofs of concept that engage decision-makers in pharmaceutical and health tech industries.
- Rigorous scientific integrity and data integrity, alongside an acerbic eye for quality, shaped by a track record of published research demonstrating analytical, methodological, or multi-team collaboration successes.

Preferred Qualifications
- PhD, DrPH, or an MD.
- Experience integrating Genomics, omics research, or digital evidencing approaches into studies or business models.
