About the Role: Software Engineer – Data & Analytics (D&A) Software Solutions
The Software Solutions team is a high-velocity group that delivers bespoke, data-driven solutions across FTI Consulting’s business spectrum. Specialising in custom web application development, this team supports engagements in:
- Corporate strategy
- Litigation
- Investigations
- Disputes
- Compliance
- Regulatory support
- Financial crime
- Fraud
- Performance improvement
The team designs, builds, and deploys scalable, feature-rich web applications using:
- Open-source technologies
- Cloud-native frameworks
- AI integrations
- Toolkit: Angular, React, NestJS, TypeScript, Python (Django/Laravel), and AWS/cloud services
- Containerization (e.g., Docker), concurrent deployment
You’ll help define and shape technology trends, ensuring solutions meet evolving client needs and industry demands.

This software engineer role requires in-depth client engagement to co-create innovative, strategy-driven solutions to challenges—present and future. Core responsibilities include:
Client Engagement & Strategic Execution
- Raise awareness across EMEA of D&A Software Solutions’ capabilities, supporting internal partners and clients with demonstrations and networking
Tactical Development
- Design, develop, and deploy client-centric web applications tailored to dynamic client needs
- Lead end-to-end software projects, collaborating daily with:
- Software engineers
- Team managers
- Stakeholders
Operational Excellence
- Conduct peer code reviews, triage software flaws, and drive updates to production systems
- Act as a mentor for junior team members, fostering knowledge-sharing and growth
- Evangelise best practices—internally and externally—to advance industry standards
Technical Innovation
- Analyse, program, and test complex software modules (new and existing enhancements)
- Assess offline or legacy systems, designing tools to optimise workflows
- Identify data relationships, organising information to support effective analysis

Who You Are: Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Must possess the following: ✅ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education/experience ✅ Multiple years of web application development experience ✅ Demonstrated leadership in software development teams ✅ Experience managing Agile ceremonies

Preferred Qualifications
The following adds value: ✔ Strong comfort with:
- Backend: OOP, RESTful APIs, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Frontend: Framework expertise (e.g., Angular, React, TypeScript)
- Cloud/DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud services ✔ ** preferably (for critical services):** SAML, Single Sign-On (SSO), European regulatory standards ✔ Ability to exceed under closing deadlines ✔ Night/weekend availability to support demanding client engagements (when requested)
