Senior Director, Strategic Projects
Join Vonage and Help Us Innovate Cloud Communications for Businesses Worldwide!
Why Vonage, Why Now
The network is becoming programmable and Vonage is at the centre of that transformation.
As part of Ericsson, Vonage is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between carrier network capabilities and enterprise demand. Our Network APIs portfolio—spanning Quality on Demand, Silent Authentication, SIM Swap, Identity Insights, Location Services, and more—is rapidly scaling across 17+ countries and continuously growing.
We are at an inflection point: market validation is underway, enterprise customers are deploying solutions, and the window to establish category leadership is open.
This is not a traditional strategy role. It is a senior, highly autonomous in-house engagement function (comparable to a Senior Engagement Manager or Associate Partner) embedded within Vonage, working at the heart of its most strategic Network API investments. You’ll function independently, anticipating needs before they’re articulated, self-directing complex engagements, and always planning ahead.
The Role
As Senior Director, Strategic Projects, you will serve as the trusted advisor and execution partner to the VP, Business Innovation.
You’ll operate autonomously with a senior-level impact, taking full ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end. This includes defining priorities, identifying the right problems, and driving outcomes from first principles to measurable results.
Working at the intersection of strategy, business development, product, and go-to-market, you’ll help shape and execute Vonage’s Network API strategy in the ecosystem. The ideal candidate is resourceful, proactive, connected throughout the organisation, and possesses strong strategic judgment and big-picture thinking.
What You Will Do
Strategic Problem Solving & Project Leadership
- Drive end-to-end ownership of high-priority strategic projects for the Network API business, from scoping and hypothesis development through to synthesis, recommendations, and stakeholder alignment.
- Define project objectives and assemble cross-functional teams (product, engineering, BD, marketing, legal).
- Manage delivery against timelines and translate complex, ambiguous challenges into clear, defendable agreements with measurable financial logic.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Go-to-Market & Business Model Innovation
- Construct GTM strategies for emerging Network API opportunities, including business model design and commercial frameworks.

Experience

- Proven ability to lead complex, uncertain engagements from initial problem framing to executive-ready recommendations.
- Experience in or deep familiarity with the telecom, cloud, or enterprise-tech ecosystem—ideally with Network API, CAMARA, or GSMA Open Gateway knowledge. In-house strategy experience at a technology company is highly valuable.
