Company Overview

LEGO Digital Play will bring the LEGO brand into digital entertainment in new, innovative, and wholly-owned ways. Our mission is to ensure the LEGO Brand remains as powerfully a part of children’s lives in the coming decades as it has ever been. We aim to reach every kid on the planet, their parents, and adult fans of LEGO—and provide them with meaningful, magical, and playful new experiences.

We are at the earliest phases of this new company, offering a unique opportunity to build a new entity for the world's most beloved and trusted brand. Our culture is open, collaborative, intellectually rigorous, and creatively vibrant.

As Senior Director, Trust & Safety Legal, you will be the senior legal leader for trust, safety, and digital wellbeing matters at LEGO Digital Play. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will help ensure safety, responsible innovation, and regulatory compliance are embedded into products, platforms, and ways of working by design.

Play Your Part in Our Team Succeeding

This is a strategic legal role within Legal & Business Affairs. It is designed for a senior lawyer who can operate as a trusted partner to Product, Engineering, Design, Community, Public Affairs, Corporate Affairs, and future Trust & Safety leaders, without owning operational moderation, policy operations, or engineering delivery.

The role will provide the legal architecture, judgement, and governance needed to support trusted, age-appropriate, and responsible digital experiences. As LEGO Digital Play scales, there may also be an opportunity to help shape and build specialist legal capability in trust, safety, digital wellbeing, and related regulatory areas.

Core Responsibilities

Lead Trust & Safety Legal Strategy

  • Serve as the lead legal adviser on trust & safety, online safety, digital wellbeing, and child protection and privacy matters.
  • Provide strategic advice to the General Counsel, senior leadership, and business teams on emerging legal, regulatory, and reputational risks.
  • Develop practical legal frameworks that help LEGO Digital Play enable innovation while managing safety, privacy, wellbeing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Help shape the legal strategy for trusted digital play as products, platforms, and partnerships evolve.

Embed Safety-by-Design Legal Thinking

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design teams throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through to launch and iteration.
  • Advise on legal and regulatory considerations for content features.
  • Build scalable legal review processes for new products, features, and experiences.
  • Support teams in balancing creativity, community, engagement, safety, privacy, children’s rights, and regulatory expectations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Build Governance and Risk Management Frameworks

  • Design legal governance frameworks for trust, safety, and digital wellbeing topics.
  • Develop risk assessment methodologies for new products, features, partnerships, and market entries.

You are comfortable being the GC’s senior subject matter expert in a strategically important and high-visibility area.

You can guide and collaborate with executive leaders on complex subject matter, welcome challenge, and exercise sound judgement when balancing commercial risk with legal and regulatory compliance.
