About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer who excels in Java development and has honed expertise in the difficult aspects of distributed infrastructure, including concurrency, fault tolerance, data consistency, and reactive strategies for issues when things fail.

- Design and implement distributed system components in Java, ensuring correctness, top-tier performance, and robust resilience.
- Develop and optimize data flow and stream processing infrastructure to handle high-volume data across complex pipelines.
- Apply deep expertise in concurrent programming to create systems that scale efficiently under high-production loads.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve distributed system issues, such as race conditions, performance bottlenecks, and various failure modes.
- Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams, ensuring seamless integration and performance of components.
- Contribute to technical discussions, provide insights during code reviews, and improve distributed system design practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT roles.
- 3+ years of experience using Java as a primary language in distributed systems contexts.
- In-depth knowledge of distributed systems principles, trade-offs, and failure recovery patterns.
- Strong expertise in concurrent programming—multi-threading, async processing, and scalability strategies.
- Hands-on experience with data flow/stream processing platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka, Flink, Spark).
- A willingness to contribute to open source projects is highly advantageous.
- Advanced level of English proficiency.
