Senior Domain Architect

Senior Domain Architect (Security) / Hybrid – Manchester or London Closing Date 17th July 2026

Shape the future of security architecture for the UK's smart metering network and play a critical role in protecting one of the country's most important pieces of national infrastructure. This is a highly strategic architecture position where you'll provide security leadership, governance and assurance across major transformation programmes, influencing future technology direction, supplier roadmaps and emerging security capabilities, including post-quantum readiness.

How you will contribute to transforming the smart energy network and shaping the future Own and evolve the Security Domain architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term technology direction. Provide architectural governance and assurance across supplier solutions, ensuring compliance with security, regulatory and architectural standards. Shape and influence technology roadmaps, future investments and strategic security initiatives across DCC's ecosystem. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating complex technical and security concepts into clear and actionable business outcomes. Lead the identification and management of architecture risks, technical debt and emerging security challenges while promoting continuous improvement and innovation.

What you need to bring Significant experience in Enterprise, Domain or Solution Architecture within large, complex or regulated environments. Strong Security Architecture expertise with experience embedding security and compliance by design principles. Proven experience providing architecture governance, assurance and strategic roadmap development. Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, including the ability to engage senior technical and non-technical audiences. Experience across key security disciplines such as IAM, Cryptography, PKI, Cloud Security and recognised architecture or security frameworks including TOGAF, NIST and ISO 27001.
