Senior .NET Developer

About the Role

Job Title: Senior DotNet Developer Experience: 8+ years Duration: 6 months Onboarding: 1st 7 days WFO (onsite in Tiruvendrum), remote thereafter

Client: US client – hands-on coding and Azure Cloud experience required. Communication: Strong communication skills essential (client-facing role). Working Hours:

  • 8 hours/day with a 4-hour overlap (US Eastern Time, 12 PM – 9 PM) (mandatory for meetings).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, document, and maintain robust .NET Core 6/8+ applications using:

    • C#
    • REST APIs
    • T-SQL
    • Modern JavaScript/jQuery
  • Integrate and support third-party APIs and external services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions across the full technology stack.

  • Identify, prioritise, and execute tasks throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, manage tasks in Jira.

  • Understand technical priorities, architectural dependencies, risks, and implementation challenges.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing solutions with a focus on performance and reliability.

Primary Skills

  • 8+ years of hands-on development experience in:

    • C#
    • .NET Core 6/8+
    • Entity Framework / EF Core
    • JavaScript, jQuery
    • REST APIs
  • Expertise in MS SQL Server, including:

    • Complex SQL queries
    • Stored Procedures
    • Views, Functions
    • Packages, Cursors
    • Tables, Object Types
  • Unit testing with XUnit, MSTest

  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, system architecture, and scalable solution design

  • Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams through:

    • Clear communication
    • Technical mentorship
    • Ownership
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging capabilities

  • Ability to write reusable, testable, and efficient code

  • Develop and maintain frameworks and shared libraries for large-scale applications

Required Azure Cloud Experience (2+ years minimum)

  • Azure Functions
  • Azure Durable Functions
  • Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Storage Queues
  • Blob Storage, Azure Key Vault, SQL Azure
  • Azure Monitoring & Application Insights

Secondary Skills (Good-to-Have)

  • Familiarity with AngularJS, ReactJS, and other front-end frameworks
  • Experience with Azure API Management (APIM)
  • Azure Containerization & Orchestration (e.g., AKS, Kubernetes)
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF) & Logic Apps
  • Exposure to Application Support & operational monitoring
  • Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (Classic / YAML)

Certifications Required

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
  • Other relevant Azure, .NET, or Cloud certifications (if applicable).
