This role is within the Downstream Business Support Department (DBSD), responsible for:
- Driving strategic priorities
- Managing key stakeholder relationships
- Providing market intelligence, strategic analysis, and business advisory—all of which shape long-term planning, investment decisions, and engagement strategies.
As the Senior Strategy & Market Analyst, you’ll deliver actionable insights and strategic advice to the Downstream President & executive leadership, shaping business priorities, competitive positioning, and market engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
These are the core expectations of the role:
Strategic Advisory
- Deliver high-impact briefings, executive summaries, and decision memos for senior leadership, ensuring insights drive critical business decisions.
- Translate complex data and trend analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for senior executives and stakeholders.
Market, Competitive & Market Intelligence
- Analyse global and regional energy trends, competitive activity, and macroeconomic factors, identifying implications for Aramco’s downstream business.
- Model energy supply/demand dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and investment opportunities to optimise business forecasting and scenario planning.

Strategy & Messaging
- Develop strategic messaging and communication materials aligned with corporate priorities and executive expectations.
- Lead engagement strategies for internal and external stakeholders, fostering cross-functional coordination and special projects.
Collaboration & Leadership Support
- Work with senior executives and cross-functional teams to align strategic initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional reviews, business planning, and special projects to support Downstream goals.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Business and Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in strategy development, market intelligence, or business analysis.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience (preferably 10) in the energy or downstream sector.
Professional Competencies
- Exceptional analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling, market forecasting, or competitive intelligence.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality strategic briefings and advisory notes effectively (both verbally and in writing).
- Direct experience working with senior executives in fast-paced environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of global energy markets, pricing mechanisms, and investment analysis.
Soft Skills & Expertise
- Strong communication skills – the ability to distil complex information into clear, strategic recommendations.
- Stakeholder engagement and public affairs background – an added but valued preference.
