### About the Role Here at ISS, as a leading Facilities Management (FM) provider, we seek a Senior Drawing Technician to oversee the production, maintenance, validation and continual improvement of technical drawings and spatial information across a diverse contract portfolio. Report to the Technical Drawings Lead, this role ensures accuracy, control, and operational compliance of all drawings.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in drawing governance, assurance, space planning, and information management, while leading the assessment, classification, and remediation of the organisation’s drawing estate. This demands strong technical expertise and relentless attention to detail to uphold high standards of compliant drawing information.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce, update, validate, and maintain technical drawings, models, and associated records using approved systems, standards, and software.
- Rigorously review and validate drawing information to guarantee accuracy, completeness and adherence to approved standards.
- Instruct and oversee the assessment, classification, and remediation of the technical drawing estate.
- Maintain accurate drawing metadata, classification, revisions, and status updates within approved information management systems.
- Collaborate on space planning through management of updated floor plans, occupancy data, and spatial records.
- Coordinate and review consultant, contractor, and third-party drawing deliverables for consistency.
- Identify drawing discrepancies and quality control issues, with escalation where necessary.
- Support drawing governance, quality assurance, and information management efforts.

Professional & Personal Competencies
- Extensive experience managing technical drawing information in large, complex construction, engineering, government, or FM portfolios.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and adherence to technical drawing standards.
- Detailed understanding of ISO 19650, CDEs, information governance, and UK drawing standards.
- Ability to lead drawing assurance, governance, and improvement programmes with strong technical leadership.
- Proven experience reviewing consultant/model provider/contractor drawing deliverables and supporting supply chain coordination.
- Decisive knowledge of construction, engineering, and building services documentation.
- Track record in major projects, mobilisations, and supporting operational estates.
- Honed stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Treats attention to detail and ethical integrity as paramount priorities.
