Job Description

Are you someone who enjoys connecting the dots across complex systems, automating processes, and building reliable platforms that enable engineering teams to deliver at scale?

Do you thrive in fast-paced, agile environments where innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement are part of everyday work?

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're partnering with a growing, mission-led technology consultancy delivering secure, modern software solutions to the UK Government and Defence sector. As part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll help design, build, and support the cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment platforms behind high-impact digital services.

Whether you're an experienced DevOps Engineer or looking to take the next step in your career, you'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects while developing your technical expertise alongside talented engineers.

The Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll work within small, high-performing agile teams, enabling the successful delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient applications.

You'll play a key role in improving engineering efficiency by automating infrastructure, streamlining deployments, and building robust cloud platforms that support the full software development lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms.
  • Develop and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
  • Build and operate shared platform services for deployment, monitoring, observability, and operational support.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimise solutions across AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and delivery teams to improve automation, security, and platform reliability.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability while proactively identifying opportunities for optimisation.
  • Contribute to DevOps best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
