Senior Dynamics Platform Engineer – Legal & General (L&G) Institutional Retirement

Our Institutional Retirement business secures retirement benefits for ~700,000 institutional customers, operating continuously in the UK market since 1987 as the longest-serving active bulk annuity provider.
About the Role
L&G Institutional Retirement is seeking an experienced Senior Dynamics Platform Engineer to lead solution design, development, and optimisation across Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365.
You will:
- Deliver transformative digital solutions that align with business strategy and enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive enterprise-scale architecture, championing best-practice governance, quality, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, developers, business stakeholders) to ensure scalable, robust solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Development & Maintenance
- Design, build, and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse solutions.
- Lead end-to-end delivery from requirements-to-deployment, including operational support.

Integration & Scalability
- Develop secure integrations with external systems using approved connectors and API patterns.
- Optimise existing solutions for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Governance & Compliance
- Establish compliance with data integrity controls, role-based security, and regulatory policies.
- Define environment strategy, naming conventions, and lifecycle management frameworks.

Technical Leadership
- Act as a senior escalation point, mentoring teams in technical best practices and innovation.
- Drive continuous improvement through AI-enabled automation, MS Copilot, and modern ALM/DevOps tooling.
What You’ll Bring
Technical Expertise
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform & Dynamics 365, backed by relevant certifications.
- Deep technical knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365 (configuration, customisation, integrations).
Solution Delivery
- Proven track record in end-to-end solution delivery (discovery, design, deployment, maintenance).
- Expertise in enterprise APIs, connectors, and scalable integration patterns.
Alignment & Impact
- Advanced understanding of ALM, DevOps, CI/CD, and version control.
- Strong data modelling/, governance, and security parlance to ensure compliance.
- Adept at translating technical complexities for diverse stakeholders.
