About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Dynamics Platform Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimisation of Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 solutions. This role is critical in delivering scalable, secure, and business-aligned digital solutions that drive our wider digital strategy.
As the technical lead, you will:
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet strategic goals.
- Drive best-practice delivery, governance, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Solution Design
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality solutions using:
- Power Apps (low-code/no-code applications)
- Power Automate (automation workflows)
- Power BI (business intelligence and reporting)
- Dataverse (Microsoft’s low-code data platform)
- Dynamics 365 (enterprise business applications)
- Lead end-to-end solution delivery, from:
- Requirements gathering and architectural design
- Development and testing
- Deployment and ongoing support
Integration & Performance Optimisation
- Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using:
- Standard and custom connectors
- Approved integration patterns (APIs, event-driven designs)
- Optimise and enhance existing solutions for:
- Performance, scalability, and usability
- Long-term maintainability and sustainability

Governance & Compliance
- Ensure strong platform governance by applying:
- Environment strategy (e.g., sandbox, staging, production)
- Naming conventions and solution structuring
- Lifecycle management standards
- Implement role-based security and data integrity controls, ensuring compliance with:
- Internal policies
- External regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, financial services regulations)
Mentorship & Continuous Improvement
- Act as a senior technical escalation point and knowledge sharer
- Mentor development and delivery teams
- Drive continuous improvement through:
- Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices
- Modern tooling, automation, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI-enabled features, Microsoft Copilot)
Requirements
Technical Expertise
- Extensive experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365, supported by relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform Developer, Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant, or Architect certifications).
- Deep technical knowledge of:
- Power Apps (configuration, customisation, advanced use cases)
- Power Automate (business process automation)
- Power BI (dashboards, data modeling, AI insights)
- Dataverse (data platform for model-driven apps)
- Dynamics 365 (customisation, extensions, integration)
- Proven track record in designing and delivering end-to-end solutions, from discovery and design to deployment and support.
- Strong understanding of:
- Modern integration approaches (APIs, standard/connector-based integrations)
- Secure, scalable integration patterns
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
- Environment strategy (e.g., Dev/Test/Prod workflows)
- DevOps practices (version control, CI/CD pipelines)
- Proficiency in data governance, data modelling, and security best practices.
