About The Team

About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Manager – Trading Events & Major Promotions Campaigns to lead the planning and execution of Joybuy's largest commercial moments across Europe.
From Black Friday and Christmas to Back to School, Chinese New Year and UEFA activations, you will be responsible for turning commercial strategy into flawless execution across multiple European markets.
Working at the intersection of Merchandising, Marketing, Procurement and Country Operations, you will orchestrate every aspect of major campaigns, from product selection and promotional mechanics to execution, performance tracking and post-campaign optimisation.

The Team
We're a small, fast-moving team operating across the UK, Germany, France, and the Netherlands, with plans to expand further. If you want to build something from the ground up, this is your chance.
What You Will Do
- Lead pan-European major promotions events: Own the end-to-end planning and execution of Joybuy's major commercial campaigns across Europe, ensuring successful delivery against sales and business objectives.
- Drive campaign merchandising strategy: Partner with local merchandising teams, cross-border procurement and country operations to define product selection, Hero SKUs, pricing, inventory readiness and promotional mechanics.
- Develop promotional frameworks: Design and optimise commercial mechanics including flash sales, bundles, coupons, tiered promotions and other initiatives to maximise customer engagement and commercial performance.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution: Act as the central PMO for major campaigns, tracking milestones, identifying risks and blockers, escalating decisions, and ensuring accountability across teams.
- Manage campaign performance: Monitor campaign KPIs in real time, identify optimisation opportunities and translate insights into recommendations for future commercial events.
- Drive operational excellence: Establish clear project governance, manage timelines, identify risks early and ensure seamless execution across multiple European markets.
- Leverage AI and data: Use AI and data-driven insights to improve campaign planning, reporting, performance monitoring and operational efficiency.

Essential
What We're Looking For
- 5-10 years in e-commerce operations, campaign management, or commercial planning, preferably at a retailer, marketplace, or digital-first brand
- Deep understanding of e-commerce mechanics: product selection, pricing, promotions, inventory management, and how they interact
- Proven experience delivering large-scale campaigns (Black Friday, Christmas, or equivalent) end-to-end — not just supporting, but owning
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills: able to align multiple teams (merchandising, procurement, operations, marketing) around a shared plan
- Deep local insight into UK/European consumer behaviour, retail seasonality, and e-commerce trends
- Experience working at an e-commerce platform or marketplace (not just agency-side)
- Comfortable with ambiguity and fast decision-making — we're a startup within a large organisation
- AI fluency: you actively use AI tools in your work and stay current with trends
- Owner mindset: you take accountability for results, not just process. You proactively identify and solve problems without waiting for instructions
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, but able to see the big picture and prioritise accordingly
- Fluent English

- Understanding of merchandising and product buying logic
- Experience working across multiple European markets
- Another European language or Mandarin
