An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Ecologist to join a well-established, growing multidisciplinary environmental consultancy based in Milton Keynes. As a specialist recruiter, we are delighted to be supporting this respected consultancy, which delivers ecology, arboriculture, landscape, archaeology, planning and environmental services on projects across the UK. The business is known for investing in its people, promoting career development and offering a collaborative, supportive working environment.

This Senior Ecologist role will involve leading ecological surveys, producing high-quality technical reports including EcIA and BNG assessments, managing projects from inception to completion, mentoring junior team members and working closely with clients and multidisciplinary colleagues. The Senior Ecologist will also contribute to licence applications, project proposals and ecological advice across a varied project portfolio. This Senior Ecologist position offers genuine long-term progression, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Ecologist.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years ecology consultancy experience
  • Strong ecological report writing and project management skills
  • Protected species survey licence desirable
  • CIEEM membership or working towards it
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Able to live within commuting distance of the Milton Keynes office
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
