An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Ecologist to join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy delivering ecological, environmental, and infrastructure projects across the UK. With a strong reputation for technical excellence, collaboration, and sustainable solutions, this business offers the chance for a Senior Ecologist to work on a diverse range of projects while developing their career in a supportive environment. The role is based in Basingstoke.
As a Senior Ecologist, you will lead ecological surveys, manage a variety of projects, prepare and review technical reports, deliver habitat and protected species assessments, provide expert ecological advice to clients, and mentor junior team members. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical and environmentally responsible solutions.

Requirements
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Proven experience within ecological consultancy
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and survey methodologies
- Excellent report writing and project management skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Full right to work in the UK
- Living in or within a commutable distance of the Basingstoke office
- Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior colleagues
