We're looking for an experienced Senior Ecologist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious ecologist with 5+ years' consultancy experience who is ready to take the next step in their career, with a clear pathway to Principal Ecologist.

About You

We are looking for an experienced ecologist with:

  • 5+ years' professional ecology consultancy experience
  • Full Member of CIEEM (MCIEEM)
  • Level 2 Bat Survey Licence (essential)
  • Great Crested Newt (GCN) licence (desirable)
  • Experience with UKHab surveys, Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and habitat condition assessments would be advantageous
  • Experience managing ecological surveys, assessments and reporting
  • Strong project management and client communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while mentoring junior team members
  • A full UK driving licence

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading ecological surveys and fieldwork
  • Producing high-quality technical reports
  • Managing projects from quotation through to delivery
  • Supporting planning and development projects across a variety of sectors
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to colleagues
  • Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Support the continued growth and development of the ecology team
