Senior eCommerce Executive
Job Overview
About The Role
At AO, we're all about making shopping for tech and appliances brilliantly simple. A big part of that is helping customers find the right product, quickly and confidently.
As our Senior Ecommerce Executive, you'll help shape how customers discover products across AO.com. From search and navigation to category journeys, you'll use data, insight and experimentation to make finding the right product feel effortless.
You'll naturally be curious and comfortable using data to uncover opportunities, solve problems and influence decisions that drive measurable results. Whether you're spotting opportunities, testing new ideas or improving the customer journey, you'll help deliver experiences that are better for our customers and better for the business. Working closely with Ecommerce, Product, Tech and Analytics teams, you'll play a key role in improving Discovery performance and helping shape what's next for AO.com.
Our people are our superpower, and we’re unstoppable when we’re together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite, 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we're together!
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
- Lead and continuously improve how customers discover, browse and choose products across AO.com, making it easier for them to find exactly what they're looking for.
- Use data, customer insight, experimentation and commercial understanding to spot opportunities and prioritise improvements that make a real impact.
- Stay curious about evolving customer behaviours, emerging technologies and industry trends, bringing fresh ideas that help shape the future of Discovery at AO.
- Design, run and evaluate A/B tests, using experimentation to learn what works best for our customers.
- Turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that help shape decisions and drive performance.
- Get to the bottom of customer behaviour by asking "why?", challenging assumptions and using evidence to guide recommendations.
- Drive improvements that deliver better customer experiences while supporting AO's commercial goals.
- Work closely with Ecommerce, Product, Tech, Analytics and Commercial teams to bring ideas to life and unlock new opportunities.
- Build strong relationships across Ecommerce, Product, Tech, Analytics and Commercial teams, influencing decisions through insight, evidence and clear recommendations.
- Balance quick wins with longer-term innovation, helping shape the future of Discovery at AO.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
