Manchester | Fast-Growing Consumer Brand
Are you a commercially minded ecommerce leader who knows how to turn insight into action?
Our client is a fast-growing consumer brand looking for a Senior Ecommerce Manager to take full ownership of online performance across its DTC and B2B websites, as well as key marketplaces.
This is a role for someone who genuinely lives and breathes ecommerce trading. You will own the numbers, lead the trading calendar, shape the Shopify roadmap and make the day-to-day commercial decisions that drive revenue.
You might spot an opportunity in the data first thing on a Monday morning, build the case and have the change live before the end of the day.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will set the strategy and direction, but you will also stay close to the detail — improving the customer journey, optimising onsite performance and making sure every visit has the best possible chance of converting.
What you will own
Ecommerce trading and revenue
You will take ownership of:
- Delivering online revenue targets across DTC, B2B and marketplaces
- Leading the ecommerce trading calendar across promotions, product launches and key trading periods
- Monitoring daily performance and reacting quickly to opportunities across pricing, merchandising and marketing
- Driving improvements in conversion rate, average order value, basket size and customer lifetime value
- Identifying new commercial opportunities using customer, product and performance data
CRO, UX and customer experience
You will be responsible for:
- Continuously improving the onsite customer experience
- Identifying and removing friction across the customer journey
- Developing and delivering a structured CRO and A/B testing programme
- Using data, testing and customer insight to improve site performance
- Optimising the journey from first visit through to repeat purchase
Shopify platform and roadmap
You will own the ecommerce platform strategy, including:
- Creating, prioritising and delivering the Shopify roadmap
- Identifying platform improvements that support revenue growth and customer experience
- Managing the ecommerce technology stack, integrations and platform partners
- Overseeing site developments, feature launches and platform enhancements
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and against clear commercial objectives

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
