Company Description
MiAlgae is focused on transforming the livestock and pet feed industries by producing microalgae rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) as a sustainable alternative to fishmeal. Responding to declining wild fish stocks and increasing demand for Omega-3s, MiAlgae provides an environmentally beneficial solution that delivers essential nutrients without relying on fish. The company’s zero-waste process recycles nutritional co-products from whisky production to grow Omega-3 rich microalgae while returning clean water. MiAlgae’s mission is to support sustainable livestock production that can help meet the needs of a growing global population. The team is committed to innovation, environmental stewardship, and building a more sustainable feed supply chain.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
