The role
As a Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Designer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll provide support and technical guidance for a team of designers. The role will assure the quality of output to the required standards consistent with whole lifecycle from concept to in service support.
Day-to-day, you’ll
- Provide specialist technical advice and design governance, ensuring adherence to technical standards and promoting collaboration across Design and other functions.
- Allocate tasks and check outputs for a team of Designers, ensuring coordination across disciplines and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Support customer engagement, helping to resolve technical and delivery issues while building strong relationships to aid business development.
- Contribute to design production, including drawings for basic, detailed, and production stages, and assist in resolving manufacturing and installation queries.
- Lead low-risk multi-discipline projects, develop innovative design solutions, and stay informed on industry developments, tools, and techniques.

This role is full time, based in either Warrington or Preston, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Senior EC&I Designer:
- Experience in a detailed design environment
- Good knowledge of CAD tools
- Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice
Qualifications for the Senior EC&I Designer:
- HNC/HND minimum in a relevant discipline OR equivalent academic qualification
Security Clearance
