Senior Electrical Design Engineer
We're hiring a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design of megawatt-scale industrial power systems for an innovative, fast-growing engineering company. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the AC power system architecture for large-scale industrial systems
- Design electrical schematics, panel layouts, protection strategies, and cable sizing
- Lead functional safety activities (HAZOP, FMEA, IEC 61508/SIL)
- Support CE/UKCA compliance and electrical system certification
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications
- 5–15 years of industrial electrical design experience
- Experience designing megawatt-scale AC power systems for industrial plants, process facilities, or heavy machinery.
- Strong knowledge of 3-phase power systems, protection coordination, panel design, and cable sizing.
- Experience with IEC 61508, SIL/SIF, or functional safety.
- Proficient in EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar CAD software.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A strong academic background from a reputable university is preferred.

Preferred Experience
- Clean energy, industrial automation, advanced manufacturing, hydrogen, carbon capture, or other emerging technologies.
- ATEX, hazardous area classification, or high-power DC systems.
