Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong EPLAN expertise looking to work on cutting-edge automation and intralogistics projects?
We are working with a growing and innovative warehouse automation integrator delivering state-of-the-art automated solutions for some of the UK's most recognised brands. Due to continued growth and project wins, we are seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join a fast-growing engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the design and delivery of automated warehouse, conveyor, sortation, and material handling systems while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working and outstanding career development opportunities.
The Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical design and documentation of automated systems from concept through to commissioning support.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Producing detailed electrical designs using EPLAN Electric P8
- Creating electrical schematics, panel layouts, cable schedules, and BOMs
- Developing control panel designs for automation and material handling systems
- Supporting project delivery teams throughout design, build, and commissioning phases
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Collaborating closely with Controls Engineers, Project Managers, and Customers
- Managing design revisions and maintaining technical documentation
- Supporting FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities when required

About You
We're looking for a motivated engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and working within a collaborative project environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within industrial automation, intralogistics, manufacturing, or material handling sectors
- Strong proficiency with EPLAN Electric P8
- Experience designing control systems and electrical panels
- Understanding of UK and international electrical standards
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and automation environments
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and develop practical design solutions
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Full right to work in the UK

Desirable
- Experience within warehouse automation, conveyor systems, ASRS, sortation, or distribution centre projects
- Familiarity with Siemens-based automation environments
- Experience supporting commissioning activities
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
