🚨 Contract Electrical Design Engineer | Reading | Outside IR35 | Defence Technology

Technify Talent is partnering with a leading security technology company based in Reading, Berkshire to hire a Contract Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a 6 month initial contract.

This is a hands-on design role with a strong focus on producing high-quality electrical drawings and design documentation for complex, mission-critical systems that help protect lives and reduce civilian threats.

What you'll be doing:

  • Producing electrical schematics, drawings and design documentation using SolidWorks
  • Creating and maintaining electrical drawings throughout the engineering lifecycle
  • Supporting electrical system analysis, testing and verification activities
  • Working closely with mechanical, software and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions
  • Supporting electrical design activities within a highly regulated engineering environment
  • Contributing to projects from concept through to testing, commissioning and delivery

We're looking for engineers with experience in:

  • Electrical design and detailed electrical drawings
  • SolidWorks (or similar CAD packages)
  • Electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and design documentation
  • Electrical system analysis
  • BS7671
  • Safety-critical or highly regulated industries such as Defence, Nuclear, Aerospace, Marine, Rail or Industrial Automation
