What you'll do

  • You'll design electrical systems for buildings, covering everything from small power and lighting to fire alarms and security systems.
  • Using Amtech and AutoCAD, you'll produce detailed designs, specifications and working drawings.
  • You'll also head to site to survey, write technical reports and monitor progress, giving you hands-on experience that few positions offer.
  • Meeting with clients and contractors, you'll shape projects from start to finish, building your influence and visibility in the industry.

What you'll need

  • At least 5 years experience in electrical building services design
  • Consultancy experience, so you're familiar with client-facing work
  • Proficiency in Amtech and AutoCAD, as these will be your main tools
