Senior Electrical Designer

About the Role
This critical role focuses on preparing and developing conceptual, Arrangement & Detail design, FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) studies, and high-detail drawings of exceptional technical and professional standards. The successful candidate will:
- Construct and refine 3D models to ensure clash-free designs, coordinating closely with all disciplines.
- Comply rigorously with project specifications and schedules.

Responsibilities
Core Technical & Project Delivery
- Fully grasp and align with contract scope, specifications, schedules, and inter-discipline requirements, proactively identifying issues and proposing resolutions.
- Manage scope changes and variation orders, issuing change notifications with supporting estimates and documentation as needed.
- Develop clash-free 3D designs and maintain seamless integration with all engineering disciplines.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Interface with multiple disciplines to gather technical inputs, align deliverables, and uphold project timelines.
- Act as a discipline liaison with stakeholders (both internal and external) to clarify requirements and resolve concerns.
Design & Documentation
- Prepare and review discipline deliverables, including:
- 3D models
- Detailed design drawings
- As-built drawings
- Integrate vendor documentation, inputs from other disciplines, and the outcomes of technical reviews into design outputs.
- Raise technical queries (TQs) to address missing information, detailing gaps and unclear scopes.
- Conduct design verification (SDC/IDC) and participate in inter-discipline checks to ensure accuracy.

Compliance & Oversight
- Maintain updated deliverables registers, holds lists, and design documentation, tracking versions meticulously.
- Support material take-offs and progress reporting, ensuring alignment with the Project Execution Plan.
- Adhere to planned timelines, standards, and procedures—including supporting MOPEX execution (process/reactor engineering for energy or industrial applications).
Quality & Mentorship
- Participate actively in design reviews, audits, model reviews, and lessons learned processes.
- Contribute to 3D model reviews, mandating and managing resolution of design comments.
- Offer guidance and mentoring to junior or trainee designers where applicable.
Operational Support
- Assist the Lead Designer with estimates, schedules, manpower planning, and productivity tracking to optimise workflow efficiency.
