Senior Electrical & Electronic Design Engineer

We're partnering with a highly respected engineering and technology business with an international customer base and an outstanding reputation for designing robust, high-performance electronic products used in demanding operational environments.
Following continued investment and a strong pipeline of new projects, they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical & Electronic Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team.
This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging products from concept through to manufacture, within a collaborative business where engineers are trusted to innovate, influence design decisions, and continuously improve the way products are developed.
The role offers a hybrid working model, combining home working with regular collaboration at the South Coast engineering facility.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Engineer, you'll play a key role throughout the full product development lifecycle, taking ownership of electrical and electronic design activities while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams. You'll be responsible for:
- Leading the electrical and electronic design of new products and product enhancements
- Developing robust, innovative solutions that meet customer, regulatory, and commercial requirements
- Producing design documentation, schematics, and technical specifications
- Supporting design verification, testing, and transition into manufacture
- Working closely with Mechanical, Systems, Software, and Manufacturing Engineers
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers
- Supporting new product development and technical proposals
- Identifying opportunities to improve products, processes, and engineering standards
- Researching and introducing emerging technologies where appropriate

About You
You'll be an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working across the full engineering lifecycle. You'll likely bring:
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Significant experience in electrical and electronic product design
- Strong knowledge of Electrical CAD tools
- Experience developing complex electronic products within regulated or quality-driven industries
- A structured, analytical approach to engineering
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with multidisciplinary teams
- A passion for continuous improvement and technical innovation
- Professional registration (or working towards Chartership) would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
