We invite the Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing, highly collaborative Engineering team. This team focuses on research and development (R&D) for sterilizers and associated medical devices used in hospitals worldwide.
The Role
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and documentation of electrical systems for highly complex electromechanical machinery. You will independently evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to execute product development and validation.
What’s Involved
- Lead system and subsystem design for New Product Development (NPD) projects.
- Electrical, control, and instrumentation system design, development, testing, and validation.
- Apply relevant industry codes and standards to develop compliant product designs.
- Participate in writing project-related documentation:
- Requirements, test protocols, test reports.
- Regulatory compliance files.
- Ensure development and execution of appropriate test plans.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts, including:
- Design and certification updates.
- Process simplification.
- Incorporating state-of-the-art technologies and innovations in relevant disciplines.
- Collaborate with:
- Marketing.
- Quality & Reliability.
- Manufacturing.
- Services.
- Supply Chain.
- Regulatory teams.
- Supervise interactions with vendors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure electrical prototypes align with design specifications.
- Provide technical input into the company’s strategic roadmap, focusing on systems or assembly-level planning.

Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years’ industry experience, preferably in a regulated environment (e.g., medical devices).
- Proven experience in constructing and designing PCB boards.
- Knowledge of three-phase, two-phase, and single-phase electrical systems.
- Strong grasp of system-level integration, blending electrical, mechanical, and process engineering disciplines.
- Ability to apply design controls and regulatory processes (preferably within medical/regulated industries).
- Leadership skills including:
- Schedule management.
- Resource allocation.
- Technical scope definition.
- Providing guidance to project teams (engineers, designers, technicians).
- Familiarity with design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Assembly, along with considerations for Serviceability.
- Experience controlling electro-mechanical devices (motors, solenoids, heaters).
- Understanding of electrical hardware green components:
- Wiring & connectors.
- Mechanical packaging.
- Thermal considerations.
- Power management.
- Electrical system & PCB documentation expertise including:
- Creating requirements for electrical systems and components.
- Developing design specifications.
- Writing test procedures.
- Experience with sensor technologies, e.g. pressure transducers, thermal couples, RTDs.
- Knowledge of user interface technologies, such as touchscreens, printers, and HMIs.
- Understanding of machine communication protocols.
- Willingness to travel (up to 15% domestically or internationally).

- Altium Designer proficiency.
- Published experience in medical device development.
