Key Responsibilities
- Develops solutions and solves more complex problems to deliver engineering projects on-time, on-quality, and on-budget directly impacting positive project outcomes for a variety of circumstances.
- Writes reports and presents work carried out at peer and design reviews.
- Develops processes for team and influences decisions by providing technical advice to team(s).
- Remains current on trends and emerging technologies and tools.
- May provide train, coach, and advise more junior team members.
- May estimate engineering packages of work to identify dependencies and ensure the deliverability of assigned work packages.
- May include safety, environmental protection, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and experience within a relevant complex engineering environment.
Security Clearance
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks. Security Requirements
This role requires you to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard Check (BPSS) as a minimum and some roles will require further national security vetting checks. In line with Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK, and employment and/or education history for up to three years. Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance which can require further evidence to be provided.
