Senior Electrical Engineer

Manchester, UK
£90,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

About the Role

Lead the electrical design behind some of Europe's most advanced hyperscale data centres.

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to take ownership of major mission-critical projects from concept through to completion?

We're working with a leading specialist contractor who are opening a new North-West office to deliver some of the UK's most complex hyperscale data centre developments. As part of their continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical engineering process throughout pre-construction and project delivery.

This is an opportunity to influence projects from day one, working alongside pre-construction, design, commercial and delivery teams to ensure world-class engineering solutions are developed and successfully delivered.

The Role

As Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing technically robust, buildable and cost-effective electrical solutions across large-scale hyperscale data centre projects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
