Experienced Electrical Engineer Opportunity

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Would you like to get involved with delivering some of the world’s most exciting projects and join a dynamic, growing team who are at the forefront of sustainable design? If so, we want you to join our Building Services team in London!

Based in our office a stone’s throw from Borough Market in the heart of Southwark’s thriving Bankside, our welcoming and diverse team are working on some of the most prestigious and innovative projects in the UK and across the world. From sustainability-focused offices and commercial premises to cutting-edge healthcare facilities and from award-winning retail developments to major new residential communities, you’ll have the opportunity to play a major role in delivering schemes across a huge range of sectors.

Working as a key member of the team, you will be provided with the autonomy to design electrical services in many sectors of the industry and be client facing, representing the company.

  • Degree qualified, or in the process of obtaining your degree (or equivalent)
  • Suitable design experience in the building services sector (preferably across a variety of sectors)
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and in the production of reports and specifications
  • Experience in using recognised design software tools such as REVIT
  • Great communication skills that can adapt both to external parties and clients but also within the team
  • Understand project needs and be able to manage the full delivery
  • Recognised qualifications in Electrical services design and either be working towards Chartered Status, or have an interest in doing so
  • Be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team in support to deliver projects
  • Experience of people management is desirable
  • Future flexibility will be needed for regular co-operation, travel and inter-office working
  • In house expertise for Electrical enquiries

Within Waterman we now carry out our projects in the 3D environment and are rolling out StabiCAD design tool across all offices. While a detailed knowledge of this software is not essential (training will be provided) an awareness of working in a 3D environment is, as is a knowledge of cable sizing and lighting design software.
