We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. This position within our M&E engineering team will suit a committed and ambitious engineer who can demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to play their part in a dynamic high-performance team. Missions/Main Duties The Senior Electrical Engineer will work with a team of engineers producing and delivering the electrical design of allocated M&E Projects as instructed by the projects Lead M&E Engineer. Have a good understanding of CSM/CDM regulations and requirements. Good communication and presentation skills. A self-motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision. Able to build and maintain good relationships with engineers from other internal discipline teams to promote good inter-discipline working relationships and a “One Team” ethos. Main Duties The Senior Electrical Engineer’s main duties will be the production of electrical designs as instructed by the projects Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) and/or Lead Engineer and to be responsible for: Ensuring projects are completed to meet all client’s requirements and applicable standards. Ensuring designs are completed to meet CRE/Lead Engineers requirements. Ensuring designs are completed to the timescales agreed with the CRE/Lead Engineer. Planning the allocated design works to meet the agreed timescales. Identify changes to the projects client requirements and raise the changes with the CRE/Lead Engineer. Profile/Skills Essential Flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the demands of the role Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices will be required Knowledge of electrical services design within the built environment and/or transport infrastructure including railway lineside systems (points heating, signalling power, level crossings, LV distribution) and/or lighting, small power, containment, earthing or fire alarms Experience in the use of Trimble ProDesign/Electrical OM, Microstation and/or Relux/Dialux Design Software. Knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues associated with M&E and/or building services Desirable Able to undertake overseas assignments where required Experience in working with offshore Production Centres Ideally an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer Qualified to HNC or equivalent Experience of working in Network Rail IP ProjectWise and/or BIM Standards. Knowledge of construction principles and standards
