Group Metropolitan was founded in 1985 as an electrical contractor specialising in small moves and changes projects for select clients. Over the past 35 years, we have evolved into a turnkey Principal Contractor, offering in-house tradespeople with a projected turnover of £85m.

About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Take ownership of stage 4 & 5 electrical system design, ensuring alignment with your client’s vision.
- Oversee technical appraisals of existing buildings while developing both short- and long-term strategies.
- Specify electrical components, create layouts, and ensure seamless integration across services.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment of new projects and preparation of fee submissions.
- Produce electrical calculations and design solutions from the briefing stage through to detailed design.
- Monitor and provide support on construction works for compliance and maintaining our high-quality standards.
- Lead and conduct key testing and commissioning activities, including:
- Initial System Testing (ISTs)
- Black Building Tests
- Offer technical support to the wider organisation.

- Life Cycle Replacement Reports
- Single Point of Failure Analysis (SPOF)
- Resiliency Reviews
- Strong ability to liaise effectively with clients
