We're looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our Kier Mechanical & Electrical team based on a major Defence project.

Location: Witham, Essex. (Site based for delivery near Ipswich)

Hours: Full Time Permanent - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is an excellent opportunity to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME), our specialist MEP self-delivery design and build business. You'll be working on complex and varied projects across sectors including custodial, commercial, health, defence and science. As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, You'll Be Working Within The Project Team, Supporting Them In Delivering Compliant, High-quality Electrical Engineering Solutions. Your Day To Day Will Include

Ensuring all electrical works are procured, planned, and carried out safely in accordance with Kier standards and UK law Reviewing and optimising designs with the design team and clients to ensure efficient, safe construction that meets all contract requirements Managing change control processes, quality control procedures, and maintaining accurate project records Providing leadership and guidance to project team members, setting clear expectations and supporting their development Working collaboratively within Kier's "one team" delivery model to achieve project goals within agreed timescales and budgets

This role of Senior Electrical Project Engineer is great for you if:

You're technically confident in electrical services and safety, holding a relevant industry accredited qualification You have CSCS and SMSTS accreditation as a minimum You have experience managing delegated work packages and can demonstrate strong project engineering capability You're collaborative by nature, able to communicate clearly and build strong relationships with colleagues and clients You're committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in everything you do
