Where You’ll Make a Difference
We’re expanding our Mission Critical team, and we need visionary leaders to guide our UK electrical engineering practice. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead design teams, innovate within global construction frameworks, and ensure client success across diverse projects—from power systems to institutional facilities.
Your expertise will shape everything from electrical schematics to field inspections, bridging business goals with technical precision. Mentor junior engineers, forge partnerships, and drive budgets-defined solutions that set new standards for critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities & Impact
Lead Complex Electrical Designs
- Direct electrical design from concept to completion, adapting to cost, design, and client-specific constraints.
- Oversee power, process, and industrial facilities, ensuring standout solutions tailored to diverse sectors.

Drive Project Execution & Control
- Scope & feasibility: Develop project needs, RFQs, budgets, and schedules—aligning cost proposals to financial goals.
- Vendor & stakeholder collaboration: Review drawings, connect with suppliers, clients, and cross-disciplinary teams.
- Schedule & logistics: Manage change orders, timelines, and resource planning for smooth delivery.
Technical & Quality Leadership
- Apply expert tools & standards (ANSI, IEEE, EPC procedures) to address intricate design challenges.
- Perform extensive quality reviews of production drawings, field data, and installation testing.
- Certification & compliance: Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes and safety policies.
Business Growth & Client Relations
- Build & retain client relationships, exceeding satisfaction targets and identifying commercial opportunities.
- Lead sales & pursuit efforts to secure high-impact projects aligned with company goals.
Team & Cultural Contribution
- Project to colleague: Mentor engineers, provide counsel, and foster collaboration across disciplines.
- Beyond the desk: Visit sites for inspections, hold field discussions, and present findings to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
Hold a:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, plus 7 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience (preferred: EPC project experience).
- OR Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience (EPC experience preferred).

Skills & Competencies
- Technical precision: Mastery of electrical design methodologies, ANSI/IEEE standards, and project execution.
- Analytical problem-solving: Model non-standard solutions for complex industrial systems.
- Software and self: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD tools, and industry-specific engineering software.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead design teams, delegate tasks, and average obstacles.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to interface with clients, vendors, and collaborators.
Preferable (But Not Mandatory)
- PE License (Professional Engineer) in a relevant field.
Organisational Expertise
- Ability to travel (approx. 10% of time) to project sites.
