Job Role:

Senior Electrical Estimator / Commercial Manager (Pricing, Bids, & Estimation) leading our Commercial Operations, reporting to Directors.

Salary:

£85k plus performance related bonus, plus vehicle / allowance

Company Overview:

Test Inc is the UK’s leading provider of electrical compliance, and maintenance services, specialising in complex and critical environments.

We partner with enterprise and mission-critical clients to manage, maintain, and assure their electrical infrastructure is resilient, efficient, and compliant by developing new to world technologies, data, systems, and process-driven insight rather than reactive, construction-led approaches.

We do not operate on a traditional short-term construction model. We are focused exclusively within the built environment, operating multi-year contracts, frameworks, and strategic partnerships, underpinned by technology, transparency, and repeatable commercial models.

As we continue to scale across the UK and prepare for international expansion, we are deliberately building a business designed to reject the dysfunction that has become normalised across much of the construction industry.

Who We Are:

We are a technology-led electrical engineering, compliance, service, and maintenance business built for long-term partnerships - not short-term wins.

We are commercially disciplined, data-informed, and systems-driven. We price work to be delivered properly, sustainably, and repeatedly - not to "win it and worry later".

We work with enterprise and mission-critical clients who value clarity, professionalism, and calm competence.

We believe estimators are key strategic commercial partners, not spreadsheet operators or convenient scapegoats.

We value long-term thinking over short-term margin grabs, collaboration over confrontation, accountability over excuses, and adult conversations over theatrics.

We are building a business - and a team - designed to last and scale, globally.

Who We Are Not:

· We are not a traditional construction contractor · We are not a blame culture dressed up as “pressure”. · We are not last-minute tenders thrown over the fence on a Friday afternoon. · We are not claims-led, variation-dependent, or retention-reliant. · We are not shouting, chest-beating, or 'conflict-as-management'. · We do not normalise poor scoping and "we'll sort it later" pricing, payment delays as a business model, commercial ambushes between departments, or estimators carrying responsibility for structural problems. If you thrive on chaos, confrontation, or transactional wins, this will not be the right environment for you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
