Role: Senior Electrical Estimator

Our client has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our growing team based out of our Derry office. This is a hands-on role with a responsibility to produce Electrical tenders for both pre-designed and design & construct projects along with estimating works working in a professional team.

Responsibilities

  • Management of estimating new projects from inception to submission
  • Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers.
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders and external Suppliers & Clients
  • Preparing take-offs for LV/MV Cabling and Containment systems from drawings.
  • Inputting take offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats.
  • Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors' proposal documents to support bids.
  • Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team.
  • Develop strong inter-departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QS’s and Design/Engineering department.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience in an Estimator role
  • Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non- technical clients.
