What you'll be doing

We're on the hunt for an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our South Region. We're delivering a growing portfolio of high-profile construction projects across central London, including landmark sites such as the British Museum, Charing Cross Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital. At Dalkia Engineering, we pride ourselves on designing, delivering, and commissioning electrical and mechanical installation systems in a variety of industry-leading buildings. Your role as Senior Electrical Project Engineer will provide technical leadership and assurance across the electrical scope of works, ensuring compliance during design development, procurement, modelling, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

You will lead the electrical engineering delivery, working closely with Project Managers, construction teams, design consultants, specialist subcontractors, and internal technical management. Harnessing your technical expertise, leadership capability, and experience of complex building projects, you will ensure delivery in line with the project brief, specification, statutory requirements, and the Building Safety Act.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and management of electrical design information, resolving technical queries and securing compliance.
  • Manage and deliver electrical procurement packages, including supplier selection, technical evaluation, technical submittals & long-lead strategy.
  • Approve electrical shop drawings, material submittals and method statements.
  • Lead planning and tracking of electrical works, identifying risks, labour requirements and recovery actions.
  • Lead and oversee onsite electrical installations, ensuring quality, productivity and compliance. Own electrical material take offs and procurement schedules.
  • Lead electrical BIM coordination activities, clash resolution.
  • Own electrical QA/QC processes including ITP's, inspections, testing and NCR closure.
  • Lead electrical testing, commissioning, FAT's and integrated systems testing.

Who we're looking for

You will be a motivated, detail-focused experienced Electrical engineer with a strong interest in M&E building services, particularly electrical systems within complex buildings. You'll enjoy working as part of a collaborative project team and be keen to develop your technical and project delivery experience across some high profile projects. You'll have evidence of managing the relevant RIBA stages and as a minimum you'll have an HNC/HND in electrical engineering or building services as well a a valid CSCS card.

Additional desirable qualifications are as follows;

  • SMSTS
  • Degree in electrical or building services engineering
  • BIM coordination capability.
