Senior Electrical Project Manager Data Centre Projects Location: Hemel Hempstead (UK)
Our client, a leading international engineering and construction specialist, is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to join their growing team delivering high-profile data centre projects in the UK.
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the successful delivery of mission-critical electrical packages on complex, large-scale developments. While data centre experience is highly desirable, candidates with strong experience in other technically complex environments will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities Lead the full lifecycle delivery of electrical systems on major projects, from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover Manage multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure programme, quality, and safety targets are achieved Oversee design coordination and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards Drive project timelines and budgets, proactively managing risks and resolving technical challenges Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety regulations and best practice Support commissioning and testing phases, ensuring mission-critical systems meet operational performance requirements Provide regular progress reporting and commercial oversight

Requirements Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager / Senior Electrical Project Manager on large-scale construction projects Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services systems Experience on data centre, mission-critical, or similarly complex projects is highly desirable (e.g. healthcare, pharma, semiconductor, industrial) Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and multiple subcontractors Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
