Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Space
Senior Electronics Design Engineer (Space Propulsion)
📍 Location: Paris region (Palaiseau) 💰 Salary: €55k–€80k (annual) 🏡 Note: Relocation required to the Paris area or nearby
🚀Join a fast-growing French SpaceTech startup, playing a critical role in designing cutting-edge electronics for innovative space propulsion technology with a proven track record in orbit.
Proven via 10+ years of research and development (R&D), our technology boasts exceptional in-orbit performance and strong commercial potential. Now advancing towards industrialisation and mass production, we’re building a capable 30-strong team in a technically demanding yet collaborative, innovative environment.
About the Role
You will own the integration, assembly, and testing of our propulsion systems’ electronic modules to guarantee:
- Quality and traceability in a controlled workspace
- Technological innovation through continuous improvement
- Close collaboration with our Avionics, Propulsion, and Thermal-Mechanical teams
In a dynamic start-up setting, you’ll participate in high-impact projects—shaping hardware for space while balancing engineering rigor with ingenuity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electronics Design
- Route power electronics and onboard computer PCBs adhering to:
- IPC Class III
- ECSS (compliance)
- EMC standards
- Thermal management standards (e.g., temperature cycling)
- Model and simulate (electrical, thermal, EMC) to optimise performance and regulatory compliance.
- Uphold rigorous space and industrial standards (radiation hardened if applicable).
2. Test and Characterisation
(TBA in cleanroom conditions)

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
