Sapein is recruiting a Senior Electronics Engineer

Sapein is recruiting a Senior Electronics Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation based in Yateley. Operating within a highly technical, safety-critical environment, you'll play a key role in the design, development, testing, and support of advanced electronic systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electronics engineer with a strong background in analogue and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and hardware development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test analogue and digital electronic circuits.
  • Develop low-power hardware solutions and validate designs using simulation tools.
  • Produce schematics, PCB designs (Altium or equivalent), and technical documentation.
  • Support the full product lifecycle from concept through to production.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing, testing, and fault finding.
  • Develop and debug embedded C software, with some exposure to C++.
  • Ensure designs comply with EMC and relevant industry standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects.

Essential Experience

  • Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in analogue and digital electronics design.
  • PCB design experience using Altium Designer or similar.
  • Embedded C programming experience.
  • Knowledge of EMC principles and electronic design for compliance.
  • Experience producing technical documentation.
  • Background working in a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within defence, aerospace, marine, automotive, or other safety-critical industries.
  • Knowledge of low-power electronic design.
  • Exposure to C++ and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience supporting products through the full development lifecycle, from design to manufacture.
