Senior Electronics Engineer
Are you a Senior Electronics Design Engineer with Project Experience?
Join Belcan, as we are looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer and be part of a global leader in engineering consultancy, and take charge of exciting projects that span industrial control systems, automated test equipment, and electro-mechanical innovations, based in Cheltenham.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our engineering solutions and leading projects from concept to completion and delivering high-performance systems that meet real-world challenges.
- Design and develop electronic systems including FPGA, analogue, and digital circuits
- Create and support PCB designs (schematic capture, layout, FMEA, component analysis)
- Manage small to medium-sized projects with full lifecycle responsibility
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and configuration controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver tailored solutions
- Mentor more Junior Engineers to industry standards for safety critical products

What You Bring
- Experience in CAD design (SolidWorks or similar)
- Strong circuit design skills from first principles
- Familiarity with PLM tools and engineering data management
- Hands-on experience with Altium, VHDL, Libero (Microsemi) or similar tools
- Previous project management experience in an engineering environment
- A proactive mindset and a passion for solving complex technical problems
