Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of electronic systems from concept to production, ensuring technical robustness and compliance.
- Capture schematic designs, undertake PCB layout tasks, and perform circuit simulations to validate performance.
- Develop and verify digital and analogue circuitry, ensuring functionality and reliability.
- Utilise microcontrollers and embedded systems to integrate hardware with software components.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, validation plans, and production handover materials.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and customers to refine requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimise designs.
- Investigate new technologies, components, and design techniques to enhance product capabilities.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and verification of prototypes, managing the transition to manufacturing.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Over 10 years of experience in electronic system design, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout using industry-standard tools.
- Solid experience in designing both digital and analogue electronics.
- Hands-on experience with microcontroller-based systems and embedded development.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and an innovative mindset.
- Effective communication skills, capable of liaising with clients and internal teams.
- Capability to create clear technical documentation and reports.

Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of high-speed digital design and RF/wireless modules.
- Experience with power supply design and EMC testing.
- Familiarity with regulated development processes, such as for medical devices or other safety-critical domains.
- Experience with FPGAs, CPLDs, or DSPs.
- Background in certification processes and failure analysis.
