Senior Electronics Engineer

Stevenage

We are Electronic Engineering. We are growing, dedicated, and we work as a team to design & develop our advanced electronic solutions for MBDA products.

Salary: Circa £42,000-£48,000 depending on experience

Location: Bolton

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizens Only.

All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity

We are Electronic Engineering. We are growing, dedicated, and we work as a team to design & develop our advanced electronic solutions for MBDA products.

Your role as an Electronics Engineer is to develop electronic solutions for cutting-edge systems. This will mainly include; Design, qualification and certification activities across the whole product lifecycle for Land, Sea, and Air platforms.

This role offers various types of work, challenges, and a multitude of applications; typically this includes:

  • Reviewing requirements
  • Generating a concept solution, schematics, and manufacturing data packs
  • Involvement in component & COTS (commercial off-the-shelf product) selection
  • Design, test, qualify to meet high-reliability & harsh environments
  • Technical report writing
  • Involvement supporting investigations and our colleagues in manufacturing

You can work in our labs and get hands-on working on bread-board demonstrators through to flight standard hardware.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shadow our more experienced Electronics Engineers & Technical Leads, learn from them and the teams around you before leading your own projects and developing to a Senior Electronics Engineer or Tech Lead.

What we're looking for from you

We are looking for proactive individuals who are motivated to develop within their Senior Electronics Engineer role;

Candidates would be ideally degree qualified (electronics engineering, science, physics) or HND equivalent experience, have been involved in development of electronics products, and ideally, have a background in complex electronics and working in a multi-functional team (e.g. with mechanical, firmware, and software).

You will have a sound track record in electronic design capability throughout the product life cycle, i.e. early concept through to production; be organised with an eye for detail and a sense of pride in what you deliver.
