Security Engineer – Crypto & Security (Post Quantum Cryptography) – Full-Time

The Role

Become part of a highly talented and dynamic international development team that creates state-of-the-art secure cryptographic libraries. These libraries are protected against physical and logical attacks and have applications across NXP’s domains, including:

  • Payment
  • Identification
  • Mobile
  • IoT
  • Automotive
  • Edge Processing

Responsibilities

  • Develop cryptographic algorithms (including Post Quantum Cryptography) based on specifications, contributing to stages such as:
    • Coding/programming
    • Testing
    • Code review
    • Release processes
  • Collaborate with innovation teams, architects, hardware teams, and support teams to develop algorithms and contribute to a complete security subsystem across all NXP business lines.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree (+3–5 years of relevant experience), OR
    • Master’s or PhD in:
      • Computer Science
      • Electronics Engineering
      • Mathematics
      • Information Technology
      • Cryptography
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Passion for technology—drive innovation with forward-thinking ideas.
    • Pride in results and demonstrable problem-solving skills.
    • Strong foundations in areas such as:
      • Cryptographic algorithms: DES, AES, RSA, ECC, or SHA
      • Embedded software development: C & Assembly
    • Familiarity or eagerness to learn:
      • ARM Cortex-M & RISC-V platforms
      • Security countermeasures: Side-Channel (SCA) & Fault Attack (FA) protection
