A Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer with extensive experience writing efficient code in C/C++ for microcontrollers and processors will join a Global Technology Company, delivering innovative electronic equipment to the broadcast industry.

You’ll take designs from concept through to production - bringing strong C/C++ programming to write efficient code; will undertake hardware-software integration and system optimization as well as debugging and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to Degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Several years’ industrial design experience which should include Low-Level experience with Linux, Bare Metal coding and good knowledge of communication protocols.

Key Skills and Experience sought include:

  • Degree in Electronics, Software, Computer Science or similar discipline.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
  • Linux Operating Systems and Drivers.
  • Bare Metal coding.
  • Writing code for Microcontrollers and processors to control hardware.
  • Good knowledge of communication protocols.
  • Low level experience with RTOS.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience related to Broadcast or Pro AV products.
  • Knowledge of audio and video protocols.
